Privacy policy: Football Reach Drills in ChatGPT
Last updated October 2026. Football Reach Drills is a plugin for ChatGPT that builds football practice plans and finds drills from Football Reach. It is run by Apps 365 Ltd (United Kingdom, company no. 13955007), the data controller. This notice covers the plugin only; the rest of Football Reach is covered by our main privacy policy.
The short version
- No account, no name, no email address and no payment details are needed.
- We receive only the details needed to answer, use them to pick drills, and do not store them.
- We never sell data or use it for advertising.
What personal data we receive
- Your request details: the player's age, what to work on (for example "first touch"), the session length, who is training (on their own, with a partner or with a group), whether there is a wall, or the drill words you searched for. ChatGPT sends these to us when it uses the plugin.
- An anonymous ChatGPT user code: ChatGPT sends a code that stands for your ChatGPT account without naming you. If it is missing, we use the internet address (IP address) the request came from instead.
- Technical request data: the time of the request and which tool ran.
We do not receive your name, email address, your chat with ChatGPT or anything else from your ChatGPT account. Please do not type a child's name or other personal details into a request; the plugin does not need them.
Why we use it
- To pick drills that suit the player's age, time, space and players, and send the plan or drill list back to ChatGPT.
- To limit how many requests one person can make in an hour, so the service stays available for everyone.
- To keep the service working: we log which tool ran, how long it took and whether it worked - never the answers you gave.
- Links in the answer carry a tag so we can count visits to footballreach.com that came from ChatGPT. The tag holds no personal data.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering the request you asked ChatGPT to send us, and in keeping the service secure and available.
Who receives it
- OpenAI sends us the request and receives our answer to show you in ChatGPT. Your use of ChatGPT is covered by OpenAI's privacy policy.
- Our UK/EU hosting providers run the server that answers the request, on our instructions only.
We do not sell this data or share it with anyone else.
How long we keep it
- Request details (age, focus, minutes, players, wall, search words): not stored. They are used to build the answer and then discarded.
- The anonymous user code or IP address: kept only in scrambled form (a one-way hash) for the hourly request limit, and deleted within a day.
- Our service log: which tool ran, when, how long it took and whether it worked. It holds no personal data - not your answers, not the user code, not an IP address - so it is kept with our general service records.
Your choices and rights
- You choose when ChatGPT uses the plugin, and you can disconnect Football Reach Drills at any time in ChatGPT's settings.
- You can ask us about, or object to, our use of this data by emailing hello@footballreach.com. Because we do not store request details or link them to you, there is usually nothing held that we could find or delete.
- Under UK GDPR you can also complain to the Information Commission (the ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Children and young players
The plugin is for parents, coaches and players aged 13 and over (ChatGPT's own minimum age). Younger players should use it with a parent. The drills suit ages 8 to 18; under-16s should practise with a parent or coach aware.
